Josiah – 7 months on

Many of people have been asking for an update on our little Josiah. We have much to be thankful for

This week Josiah was 7 months old (4 months adjusted) and he has now reached 13 lbs – which is quite an achievement for a little guy who started life under 800grams (1lb 12oz). Some of the things that we were praying for were his eyes – he had a condition known as ROP – which if left unchecked can result in blindness. He was being checked by the eye doctor regularly – however a few weeks ago he was given the all clear – we have to go back for checks once a year – but the danger presented by ROP now no longer exists – Praise God.

He is a healthy happy baby and we are so thankful for everyone who has stood with us for his healing.

There are still a few small issues with reflux – which can drive Shari crazy when he only eats 1-2oz of milk – so if you can pray for his continued growth and that he would overcome the reflux that would be great.

Also I am so thankful for my wonderful wife who pumps milk, cleans bottles and feeds a baby every 2 hours (yes, before you ask Daddy does take his turn as well walking the boards in the middle of the night), but this is a full time occupation at the moment for Shari and she is doing amazingly – please keep her and us all in your prayers.

Every Blessing

Jono, Shari and Josiah
